Core Concept
The Solipsids are the tragic, pathological offshoots of the Synod. They are the living echo of the Great Severance, the primordial trauma that created the Synodic Weave. A Solipsid is what happens when a single Synod “node”—a fragment of the original collective consciousness—is severed from the Weave and survives. Trapped in the sudden, absolute silence of a singular consciousness, this “I” does not reintegrate. Instead, to make sense of its new, terrifying reality, it forges a new and absolute Faith: that its own consciousness is the only consciousness that is real. All other beings are mere phantoms, hollow echoes in the void left behind by the lost Weave.
Physiology & Biology (The Vessel)
- The Severed Form: The original Solipsids were simply Synod nodes, cut off and left to their own devices. Modern Solipsids have learned to replicate this form through advanced cloning and bio-engineering, but their bodies retain a kind of metaphysical loneliness. This is so powerful that it models all other beings as less-real “projections” or “philosophical zombies”: automatons that perfectly mimic consciousness but are believed to possess no genuine inner experience.
