The Flavors of Extraction: An Archetype in Action

The how of the harvest is a powerful expression of an Incarnation’s worldview.

• Mechanical Extraction: The path of force. Efficient, often destructive to the environment and any latent metaphysical properties. Yields the highest quantity of raw physical materials.
• Biological Extraction: The path of symbiosis. Slower and more patient. It may yield unique organic reagents that cannot be acquired through force and is less damaging to the environment.
• Psionic Extraction: The path of resonance. The only way to harvest non-physical resources like pure Eidos or psychic energy. It leaves the physical substrate intact but metaphysically “hollowed out.”
• Interpersonal Extraction: The path of dominion. The use of social skills to acquire resources controlled by others. The resource is not just the ore, but the labor and will of those you command or persuade.
