The Mirror-Minds

I alone am Real.

Core Concept

If the Mycelian Chorus are the ultimate expression of the collective “We,” the Solipsids are the ultimate expression of the radical, isolated “I.” Their core philosophy denies the consciousness of others, creating a species incapable of true empathy or trust.

Physiology & Biology

Their physical forms can be diverse, but their neurology is unique. They possess a hyper-active self-modeling consciousness, so powerful that it models all other beings as less-real “projections” or “philosophical zombies”, automatons that perfectly mimic consciousness but lack any inner experience.

Psychology & Society (Faith / Fiction)

Core Faith: "" This is not arrogance, but a fundamental, unshakable axiom of their perception. They treat all other beings with a mixture of curiosity, caution, and clinical detachment, as one might treat a highly advanced but unpredictable machine.

Core Fiction: Their stories are all internal monologues. They have no myths of heroes cooperating, only tales of singular consciousnesses outwitting or manipulating a world of hollow phantoms.

Gameplay Hooks & Tensions

Playing a Solipsid Incarnation presents a unique social challenge. You cannot form genuine alliances, as you can never truly trust that your “allies” are conscious. Conversation is a tool for manipulation, not connection. All social interactions are filtered through a Subjective Interface that might label other agents with tags like [Probable Automaton] or [Complex Echo].

Their interaction with the Mycelian Chorus is a metaphysical horror story. For a Solipsid, the Chorus is a single, terrifyingly complex machine posing as many. For the Chorus, a Solipsid is a “Severed One,” a glitch in the Weave that proves individuality is a form of madness.
